16.2 miles and 36800 steps today as I walked from Portomarin to Palas De Rei. Lovely 60F weather with light drizzle for the most part. Walking was enjoyable today as the sun was not burning my skin. Listened to the Hindi music playlist my son made for me the entire 7 hours. Humming to Shahrukh songs in Spain is an entirely different experience:). Stopped a few times today and ate the best Spanish tortilla for breakfast at one of the cafes. Beautiful wildflowers in purple and pinks lined the entire way today and it felt like they were cheering us on to keep walking.

My hotel for the night ended up being right off the Camino. A quaint little BnB run by an extremely attentive older couple. We communicated via Google translate all evening and the wife whipped up a delicious torta for dinner served with a tomato salad from her garden. The tomatoes were some of the sweetest I have ever eaten. She proudly showed me her tomato garden full of plump red tomatoes. I could just eat this for the rest of my trip. Tomorrow is my easy day so will start late at 7.30 am.
