Walking on a sine wave

It’s day one of my sabbatical. It feels surreal that I have finally embarked on this adventure after dreaming about it for many years. All it took was one email at the right time and the decision was made to take a break from corporate life and spend the summer of 2023 with my kids while checking off a few more items from my bucket list. 12 hours after making that decision, doubt crept in at 3 am last night. I walked over to the living room, lit up the fireplace and went through all possible scenarios on how the next few months would play out. In the end, I heard my heart and my mind say the same thing – Continue on this path and you will not regret it.

For the next few months, my life will follow this quote from Van Gogh – “What would life be if we had no courage to attempt anything?”
